Dear Dr. Tolbert:

My name is Bridget George and I am a Bible study teacher from Friendship Baptist Church in Yorba Linda, CA.  I received your curriculum series entitled Our God Is and have now taught and finished the total series.  

I really enjoyed the way the curriculum is written.  One of the things we really enjoyed about the teaching aspect was the way you wrote the curriculum giving an outline for each lesson and giving the teacher directions on how to teach.  I really enjoyed having the students participate in the skits, and they really enjoyed participating.  The audience really enjoyed watching the skits. 

I liked the questions to ask the students and how it provoked thought.  I incorporated a board with animals and dirt and trees and a flannel board for the sky and stars to help the students and to visually display creation.  I also printed pictures of various scenes also using the colored pictures you had during each lesson.  

We also went outside and had class so that the students could point and see creation.  They were given opportunities to review about every four lessons so that they could remember what was being taught. 

On the final review lesson we used the questions you supplied and reprinted them in our own way.  I gave stickers in a little bucket for each student to grab from.  The stickers had various adjectives like “awesome”  “wonderful”  “you’re special”  “cool”  “wow” and on and on, and I chose these because I told the students that that’s what the Lord thinks of them for being persistent and finishing this lesson.  When bullies say things about them they are to always remember what the Lord thinks about them! 

These lessons were powerful in displaying the awesomeness of God and His creation.  We also used the teacher evaluation sheets; there were days where I didn’t rate myself as well as other days, but I realized that it is good to evaluate regularly so I wouldn’t get lazy.

I felt this was a great curriculum to use during my first round of teaching because of the many aides and guides.  I want to thank you for supplying this curriculum to our church and look forward to many more opportunities to teach on series such as this.  May God bless you, and Thank you again.
